A Great Walk In The Gorge-

Some friends invited us on a quick local Road Trip to Devil's Hole State Park in Niagara Falls NY, so we stopped at the grocery store for some subs and chips and headed off down the 190, to the Robert Moses Expressway and exited at the Devil's Hole exit. (see map tab) This trip is about 30- 45 minutes or so from the Buffalo, NY area.  The road trip was quick and easy, no lines at the Grand Island Bridges.  The roads were in good shape for the most part but the Robert Moses Parkway is showing its age.

Depending on which way you come from you may have to do a U turn to get over to the small parking lot for the park.

We ate lunch in the park at ground level before heading down the stairs into the Niagara Gorge.  The park is not huge but plenty of room for the small number of visitors we saw.  The stone stairs are in pretty good shape but a few are tipped and care needs to be taken, you can easily fall or twist an ankle.

There was no charge to enter or to park.
