We stayed at the beachside Motel in Daytona on our war to Orlando so we were just there 1 night. We had 2 rooms next to each other. When we booked them they were supposed to be 2 adjoining rooms as we had a family member traveling with us. They only have 2 adjoining rooms and it looks like we got bumped because we were only there for 1 night and the folks that were in the room were there for a full week. I totally understand that they didn't want to loose that full week booking but it would have been nice if they would have called us to let us know beforehand. It was no big deal and we ended up on a higher floor with a better view anyway and they did give us a reduced rate so no complaints from us.
The Hotel it's self is a little older and smaller than those around it, but it was sufficient. Some things needed attention like the cover on the AC unit on the balcony was off, and somethings needed paint. But overall it was clean and was right on the beach and it was a lot less money than those bigger, newer hotels.
We were there for the ocean, and from this inexpensive hotel you have access to the same ocean as those who spent a lot more money. If we go back to Daytona we would certainly consider staying there again.
